I Write Stuff Online!

Post by Cabaline » Sat 11th Apr 2020

I've been writing a variety of different articles and publishing them online for years, I have well over 90 published pieces. I writing about everything: recipes, game guides, reviews, beauty products, science, health/mental health, etc. ^_^

You can find my profile and my full list of work on my profile, here!

I really enjoy writing and it's a lil bit of a side hustle, since I get paid ad revenue for every article that is viewed! So if you ever wanna take a look and earn me some pennies, it would be much appreciated, there is something there for everyone, so you're guaranteed to find something you'll like :D

In this thread, I will update it whenever I post something new! A review of my new weighted blanket was approved for publication this morning, and is live! And you can find it here! :)

It just so happens that today is National Tea Day in the UK! I am already sat down with a nice cuppa myself (I need to have one as soon as I wake up) 🍵
Want to celebrate, or treat yourself? Check out my cute lil suggestions of tea-themed ways to get involved:

Hello! :D I did a Twitter poll to ask people to vote on my next article, and the winner was a review of my smart bulbs! The people ask and I deliver, so here it is: a review of my LOHAS E15 candle, colour-changing, smart bulbs! ^_^

Once again I took the results of the twitter poll to decide my next article, and here it is! I hope that some of you find it useful, I am pretty sure that we all spend a lot of time glued to screens ;) My review of Cyxus blue light blocking computer glasses (and how I reduce digital eye strain) :D

Hello again :D

These times are weird and it's easy to fall into some negative thinking. So I thought I would share an article that I wrote, using the knowledge I gained from various forms of therapy, and many different pieces of reading on psychology.
How to combat intrusive thoughts, and how to identify and combat 10 different types of unhelpful thinking! :D

I hope someone is able to find it helpful :)

Hello everyone! :D

This piece is an old one rather than a new one, I wrote the meat of it back at university and recently refreshed and rewrote it to publish as an article! :)
It is an education piece on formative (testing informally through games) and summative (testing formally with traditional tests/exams) assessment, what it is, what is the difference and how can we use it to improve teaching! :D

Formative vs Summative Assessment in the Classroom: A Guide ^_^

Good evening! :)

Today's article is something a little bit different and a little bit more personal than my usual stuff! It is a food journal of what I have been eating in quarantine! :) I know that it can be difficult to find new things to eat, and finding the motivation to make your own food is hard. So I made this so that you can compare your diet and get fresh ideas for what you could make for yourself. It's not a diet to follow for weight management, it's just something fun to help people get an insight into how I have managed quarantine so far! ^_^
So check it out: What I Have Been Eating in Lockdown :D

Happy Tuesday! :D

Today's article is a book review! :) I read this amazing book called Basic Witches, and it was not what I was expecting it to be at all! If you saw my post in the book thread in Limbo, you'll have heard a bit about it already. Well I finished it and I was full of opinions and personal reflections, so decided to write it all out! :D

It's Friday! :awesome:

My newest article is a detailed review of a great true-crime podcast that I listened to called "Real Crime: Locked Up for Life", which examines the social, moral, ethical and philosophical issues surrounding a whole-life sentence in the UK. :)

I learned lots and had lots of complex thoughts throughout, that I have shared in my review. Read more here:

Hello, one and all! ^_^

My newest article is a review of a book I finished this week! I've been trying to add more BIPOC authors to my reading list (so if you have some recommendations please fire them my way) but I finished The Ballad of Black Tom the other day by Victor LaValle and I liked it a lot! :D

A horror/fantasy type, set in 1920's New York, with a black protagonist named Charles Thomas Tester. The style of writing is so captivating and the Lovecraftian elements to the story are great. The commentary on race is at times subtle, at times not so subtle, but it all adds to the story. And it really stayed with me after I read it! :)

If this sounds like something you'd be interested check out my spoiler-free review:

Good evening! :D

I was looking for an eye mask to help block out light while I slept, and I wanted something to help with headaches. I found out about a compression eye pillow (a weighted eye mask that you can put in the fridge) and I absolutely had to try it out ^_^ I already have a weighted blanket so I thought that this would offer the same experience and sensations :D You can check out my full review here:
